How does the AutoPot system work?

The entire AutoPot system is based on the specially designed AquaValve flush valve. This small, inconspicuous component is solely responsible for the entire self-watering technology behind any expandable module and AutoPot system. Its function is very simple, and as we all know from experience, sometimes the simplest solutions are the most effective. The AutoPot AquaValve valve works like a miniature float valve, letting in just enough water and nutrient solution for your plants to quench their thirst, completely without the use of electricity! The intelligent valve automatically opens and fills the base of the stand to a shallow depth of 20mm, then shuts off the flow from the main reservoir. The nutrient solution in the Autopot's tray then waters the pot from the bottom, while the potting mix absorbs the solution upward. The cistern remains completely closed until all the nutrient solution in the bottom of the Autopot has been used up. When the bottom of the tray is dry, the smart valve opens, allowing the tray to be refilled with 20mm of nutrient solution from the main reservoir. The smart valve operates as needed, increasing watering frequency as plants grow larger and thirstier. Additionally, a special copper mat at the bottom of the pot acts as a shield against root growth, ensuring the cistern works properly.

FlexiPots stimulate plant growth by aerating and developing root structures, not just trapping them.

The porous, BPA-free, and lead-free material of the FlexiPot allows for better gas exchange in the potting mix.

Extremely durable and reusable, FlexiPots are easy to clean between cycles if necessary. After emptying the FlexiPot, it's best to let it air dry. After a few days, dust and small roots are easily removed. Although this level of cleaning is perfectly sufficient, the FlexiPot can be washed in a washing machine or bathtub. Do not tumble dry the FlexiPot.

Important information:

The manufacturer recommends using 9mm diameter nutrient supply tubing for systems with 1-7 pots. For systems with 8 or more pots, a 16mm tubing is recommended.
Depending on the desired system size, the water reservoir should be adequate for the number of pots.
The reservoir should be placed at least 15cm higher than the pots to ensure that gravity pressure effectively irrigates the system.
Recommended substrates include soil/coco/rockwool in a 50%/50% ratio with perlite/expanded clay.
Remember to regularly refill the main reservoir with appropriate plant nutrient solution.
