Moisture sensor dripper – Tropf-Blumat MAXI
The Tropf-Blumat Maxi dripper automatically regulates soil moisture, acting as a moisture sensor, valve, and drip distributor in one – just like a standard Tropf-Blumat dripper.
It comes standard with a drip tube and an 8-3-8 connector. Compared to the standard model, it is longer (23 cm), which makes it more effective in larger containers.
Applications:
large pots with a height of over 25–30 cm,
watering individual shrubs and perennials up to approx. 1.5 m in height, planted at a similar depth.
Components required to connect to a water source
(The following elements are required if the dripper is not part of a complete kit)
8 mm supply tubing (black or white), available by the meter or in rolls – required to connect the system to a water source. For installations against a light background (e.g. a white wall), white tubing is recommended as it is less visible.
Connector for a gravity-fed water tank – allows connection of the 8 mm tubing to the water reservoir.
End cap – used to close the end of the 8 mm supply tubing.
Pressure reducer – required when connecting the system directly to a tap.
Additional accessories
To make a hole in the soil, especially in compacted or hard substrate, the use of a dedicated Blumat tool is recommended.
