PAR Meters vs. Light Meters
While traditional lux meters measure visible light intensity, PAR meters measure light within the Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) range used by plants for photosynthesis. PAR meters can provide measurements such as PPFD, making them particularly useful for setting up and optimizing LED grow lights.
PAR Meters for LED Grow Lights
PAR meters are designed to measure the amount of photosynthetically active light available to plants. They are especially useful for checking PPFD levels, comparing light intensity across the canopy and identifying areas receiving too much or too little light.
